Fisker Karma
Hybrid limousine that has been talked a lot about was presented at Detroit. Fisker knows that a masterpiece requires scarification of enormous amount of time. Californian design workshop that raised auto design to art rang, brings in front of us it’s latest creation, a hybrid vehicle ment to keep alive the virtual “dialogue” between car and man. Baptized as Karma, new model is a sport sedan luxury car, an impressive and imperial one.
Karma seems to have reached the perfection, coagulated impression by the fascinating shapes that combine harmonious on entire sport car. Frontally, sportive sedan is dominated by a grid that shows some grills just like marine fish. High passages of wheels, pronounced doorsteps, short hood, spoke wheel rim and LED type stop concur in a decisive manner to refinement of ingenious design. Although it issues pretensions in Premium sportive class, Karma makes part too from the “green” cars because of it’s propulsion Q-DRIVE. Developed by Quantum Technologies, hybrid system includes a gasoline engine of which power is dispatched by a generator that loads lithium-ion batteries that make the car move. Placement of accumulators on the middle of chassis, helps at lowering gravity center and to a better weight allocating.
Being a luxury sedan, Karma is endowed with a navigation system and many other multimedia functions. It’s sportive design, dominated by aggressive shapes, that lends elements from Maserati Quattropote model.
After they flashed entire world speciality newspapers once with revealing new hybrid, the americans from Frisker have big plans for Europe too. Initially the officials said that product version of Karma hybrid will only be available to United States in a reduced number.
Fisker sustains that the luxurious hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,8 seconds, can reach a maximum speed of 200 km/h and batteries autonomy is 80 km. Fisker will introduce the Premium model hybrid Karma in 2009, at a price of 80 000$.
