Cadillac CTS-V
The newest Cadillac CTS received many press awards fir design, performances and comfort that it offers, it is the first sport American sedan that is meant to be a powerful rival for german competitors.
Officials from Cadillac gone further and published first official information and photos with the new supersedan CTS-V. The car is propelled by a V8 supercharged engine of 6,2 l and 550 hp which has magnetic suspensions.
First thing that takes your eyes to new CTS-V is frontal part of car, the aggressive grid that is split in two parts – upper one having the huge Cadillac logo – and which includes new angular headlights special made for fog. Also exterior design is remarkable, very elegant and custom made, as the aerodynamic kit that doesn’t make so much difference between CTS-V and CTS.
Under the hood as we said, CTS-V hides the V8 of 6,2 liters which develops 550 hp and 750 Nm of torque, the same from Corvette ZR-1. Although the Cadillac engine doesn’t produce so much noise it gives a louder sound than LS9 from ZR-1 that has 650 hp, but it surpasses V10 from BMW M5 looking at the performances
There will be for disposal 2 transmissions 6 positions, a manual one with double clutch, Tremec TR6060, and the automatic one is pulled by using some flaps installed behind the steering wheel – a premiere for CTS-V.
Magnetic system Magnetic Ride Control makes like the suspension of CTS-V react extremely fast therefore Cadillac sustains the fastest system. Man from steering wheel can select from driving one from the two modes (Tour and Sport), CTS-V turning to the driver’s style of driving. Maneuverability is improved and with helping of Brembo braking system. It includes disks (of which dimension isn’t known yet) that are perforated and vented to resist deceleration.
