Prospectus that got out from inside of factory before the launch moment chose by constructor for presentation of a model did victims! After other car producers it seems that it is Porches move on market. First official details and photos with the new 911 GT2 should appear a few days before opening of Auto Salon from Frankfurt in september. At least theoretically! At beginning of july, scanned prospectus of model was already on Internet. Because of this only at a day distance Porsche AG published first detailed information about new model with photos. It made the day for press and fans.

The most important characteristic of the new bolide from Zuffenhause is connected to propeller. Based on aggregate found at 911 Turbo, it has 3,6 l engine and keeps the boxer disposal of 6 cylinders. With help of 2 geometrical variable turbines (VTG), it can reach 530 hp at 6500 rpm and maximum torque of 680 Nm, constantly available between 2200-4500 rpm. Difference from Turbo model, 911 GT2 beneficiates exclusively of rear traction and manual transmission with 6 positions. If we take into consideration it’s weight, 1440 kg, we have specific power of 368 hp/t and 147 hp/l. Other way said hp under the hood of GT2 has to pull 2,72 kg. New GT2 accelerates to 100 km/h in 3,7 seconds and stops at 329 km/h in circuit conditions, says Porsche. Prospectus too says that GT2 need 7,4 seconds to reach 160 km/h.

Performance technology
Obtaining extra 50 hp over the 911 Turbo was possible by utilizing 2 turbines that come with higher diameter and a raised pressure inside of them. For the first time, Porsche’s specialists combined over alimented propeller with a variable admission gallery, a revolution in domain of turbo construction. This gallery utilizes the vent principle in cool phase, keeping this way a lower temperature of the mixture air/gas comparative with 911 Turbo. In parallel adopting this solution brings a reduction as far as 15 % of consumption in maximum usage. Therewith new 911 GT2 is the first street Porsche that comes in standard model, with posterior noise attenuation and titanium exhaust! Competition for 911 GT2
After the world premiere from Frankfurt, new Porsche 911 GT2 will confront well known rivals. From these we remember Lamborghini Gallardo Sperleggera (V10 engine of 530 hp) and Ferrari F430 Scunderia (V8 propeller of 510 hp). Available at Porsche dealers from November of this year, GT2 has a base price in Germany of 151 100 Euros. If we add 19%, the price of the most powerful Porsche 911 from history it reaches 189 496 Euros (in Germany)
